"Brittany obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work with a concentration in children, youth and families from Indiana University Indianapolis and her undergrad degrees in Social Work and Addictions Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University. Brittany joins our team from Indiana, where she has gained experience working in addiction counseling settings, anti-human trafficking, and teenage mental health, specifically related to sexual abuse. Brittany worked at a residential treatment facility as a “live in” parent for teen girls struggling with depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and poor behavioral management. After her time at the residential facility, she worked for a non-profit to educate communities about human trafficking and to work with the survivors. Once her graduate degree was complete, Brittany returned to the residential facility, this time, to work with teenage boys who had sexual offenses.
She attended the Dr. John Townsend Leadership Program, where she trained in his Character-Based Growth Paradigm. She utilizes this model in addition to CBT and TF-CBT throughout her therapeutic work. Brittany is especially passionate about working with teens, empowering women, and helping those who have experienced sexual trauma. It is her belief that everyone should be allowed to live in the fullness and freedom that healing can bring.
She partners with her husband in his field of working with college students; they enjoy sports and board games together, and she enjoys exercising, crafting, and baking."
