Rebecca Osborn, MA, LPC

Rebecca has lived in Pittsburgh her whole life. She currently lives in the North Hills with her husband and two young daughters. She has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies from Southeastern University in April of 2007 and completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Counseling Psychology with a Specialization in Christian Counseling at Waynesburg University in 2009. She has worked as a therapist in a variety of settings with a wide range of clients. She works with individuals of all ages and is equipped to address a spectrum of emotional and behavioral concerns. Her approach to treatment is rooted in Family Systems Theory, which encourages people to think of issues (e.g. marital conflict, addiction, adolescent defiance, difficult relationships, over-functioning, etc.) in terms of a multigenerational family or a “system.” This approach encourages people to move away from blaming others and toward individual responsibility.
Rebecca has experience working with Anxiety/Depression, Traumatic Stress, Disordered Eating, Family Conflict/Parenting Challenges, Disorders commonly associated with childhood such as Autism and ADHD, and Grief Counseling. Rebecca is a member of the International Association of Trauma Professionals.
Rebecca has seen over the years that many of her clients are grateful that she not only has experience in a classroom and with other clients, but that her life experiences make her a better fit for their overall treatment. Many clients come to her because she is a follower of Christ, or because she is a wife and mother to two small children. Other's come because of a personal recommendation from a trusted friend. Her commitment will always be to provide a place where you can find healing and hope to overcome life's challenges. Her passion is to be able to include Biblical truth and the transformational love of Christ in this process.
Rebecca currently accepts Highmark BC/BS, Aetna, and Cigna insurances.
