Stefanie received her Master’s Degree in Counseling from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Missouri in December 2014, and her Bachelor’s Degree from Northpoint Bible College in Massachusetts in 2011. She is currently working towards becoming licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Growing up in Mercer County, Stefanie is thankful for this opportunity to be able to serve in her home area with the CCC.
Stefanie has previous experience working in social work/therapy with families struggling with their adolescent’s negative and anti-social behaviors as well as with parents and children in the foster-care system. Additionally, Stefanie has had experience working with children alongside a School Counselor and at residential programs for both children and adolescent girls as direct care-staff. With a call to ministry from a young age, Stefanie sensed a call to serve abroad and served in Southern Asia for two years, one of which she helped as a counselor at a mental health clinic working with individuals of different ages and from different nations who struggled with a variety of concerns including adjustment issues, depression, anxiety, family relationship concerns, and obsessive-compulsive behaviors. Stefanie believes in the importance of creating a place of safety and trust in order for growth and healing to take place in a counseling setting.
Stefanie resides in Mercer County, and enjoys being outside and enjoying the small moments, spending time with family and friends, and reading a good book. Stefanie is an active member at First Assembly of God in Hermitage.
