Daniel McHugh, MA, LPC, NCC

Daniel McHugh

Dan transitioned into the counseling profession after working for decades in project management, information technology, and process control for large corporations. He began (non-professional) lay counseling for individuals in 1997 after completing 2 years of training, and he has been counseling premarital couples with his wife since 2000 in his church’s couples ministry. After completing undergraduate psychology and graduate counseling programs, he began counseling professionally with the CCC in September 2014 with a focus on marriage and family issues as well as individual concerns such as anxiety, depression, and spiritual formation. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, a Board Certified Counselor, and certified trainer and facilitator for the Prepare-Enrich® relationship inventory. Dan views people holistically (spiritual, physical, emotional, social, and intellectual) and seeks to understand their concerns in the context of their culture, ethnicity, family, and environment. He counts it a privilege to be a catalyst, by God’s grace, for healing, redemption, change, and growth in the lives of individuals, couples, and families. Dan joined the staff of the CCC as Assistant Director in June, 2018.
