Katie Sanko

Katie is a Licensed professional Counselor in PA, and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) who earned her MA in Counseling from Geneva College in 2017. She received her BA in sociology from Covenant College in 2001. She also received minors in biblical studies, youth ministry and Spanish. She has worked as a social advocate for the underserved, including the migrant and refugee populations for over 20 years. Her therapeutic orientations include CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, Person-Centered, Spiritual Direction, Multicultural, Eclecticism, and Play Therapy. In addition to mental health counseling, she has worked as a school counselor to advocate for children and their families in public school. She especially enjoys helping individuals to work through life’s issues including depression, anxiety, chronic illness, grief, trauma, and life transitions. She enjoys camping with her four children, and also singing on the worship team at church.
