Rachel is a licensed Social Worker (LSW) who works out of the Christian Counselors Collaborative in the North Side, and the Pittsburgh Pastoral Institute (PPI), Shadyside office. Rachel loves walking with people through a journey of self-discovery that contributes to healing and positive relationships. She works especially in the areas of grief, stress, anxiety and depression. She also does couples counseling. Rachel grew up as a missionary kid in Brazil before attending Wheaton college. She got her bachelors in Sociology with a minor in Christian Formation and Ministry. After college, she returned to Brazil to work with inner city kids and self-care resources for pastors. She moved to Pittsburgh in 2010 and proceeded to get her Masters in Social Work from the Univ. of Pittsburgh. Rachel became an LSW in 2014 and is currently working on the hours necessary to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Rachel is an active member at an Anglican Church. She loves to include clients' spiritual journeys in therapy to the extent that the client so desires.
