Tom Nowak, MA, LPC

Tom Nowak

Tom is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He received his Master’s in Counseling from Regent University (’94) and his Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from University of Pittsburgh (’89). The Master’s program integrated psychology and Biblically-based theology. Tom is called to help people listen to their hearts in a safe place, clarify chosen values and beliefs, find the courage to change, and accept what they cannot change. Counseling can range from helping someone get unstuck to more intense therapy for trauma, anxiety, depression, or addictions. He is trained in, and continues to study, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Gestalt Pastoral Care. “Scripture and Prayer are essentials in my life, so I am open to clients who desire to use scriptural principles, prayer, and their own spiritual life to be part of our journey together.” Tom accepts Blue Cross/Blue Shield and other insurances.
