Daniel McHugh

Dan transitioned into the counseling profession after working for decades in project management, information technology, and process control for large corporations. He began providing lay counseling for individuals in 1997 after completing 2 years of training, and he has been counseling premarital couples with his wife since 2000 in his church’s couples ministry. Dan began counseling professionally with the CCC in September 2014 after completing a graduate degree in professional counseling with a focus on marriage and family counseling. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, a Board Certified Counselor, and certified trainer and facilitator for the Prepare-Enrich® relationship inventory. He also served as the Assistant Director of the CCC from June 2018 through February 2025.

Dan views people holistically (spiritual, physical, emotional, social, and intellectual); he seeks to understand and help people with their concerns in the context of their culture, ethnicity, family, and environment. He considers it a privilege to be a catalyst, by God’s grace, for healing, redemption, change, and growth in the lives of individuals, couples, and families.
