Lisa Owens, ME, MA, NCC
Lisa is a National Certified Counselor who has served as a teacher and a counselor for over 20 years. She received a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Pittsburgh in 2000, Lisa received her National Counselors Certification in 2004. Lisa has spent many years serving in her churches as a lay counselor where she has facilitated pre-marital counseling groups and groups to support parents and children with behavioral issues and issues of gender identity. She also spent over twenty years working for Pittsburgh Public Schools as an English teacher, and then as a counselor. She loves people and is deeply committed to helping them reach their goals. She has experience in marriage, family, women’s issues, grief, trauma, depression and various other mental health related issues. She has also successfully facilitated and co-facilitated therapy groups for: marriage, college preparation, Christian sexuality, soul care, and parenting. Lisa has been married to her husband Ross since 1998, and they have two adult children. Lisa and Ross have served in ministry together since 2003.
